I am 82 years old and I have been fishing these local waters for 35 years. I must admit that 30 years ago I could have gone out and caught a mess of grouper similar to the numbers you helped us to catch although back then there were no limits and a 12 inch minimum size. During these recent years catching more than our limit of keeper grouper was usually but a dream. Kevin, you are a rather unique fishing guide in several ways. I sold my last boat a few years ago because I was reaching the age of senility and since I usually took guests aboard when I launched and no longer felt completely competent handling the vessel, I felt it was prudent for me to sell the boat and to hire guides with my friends when I missed the bent rod and the beautiful seas. I am still not sure how we happened upon you, but I am so impressed that I no longer want to use another guide in this area. I was impressed when we came aboard that you greeted us as friends rather than clients. I was impressed with the few minutes you spent reviewing safety procedures. I was certainly impressed with the ease that you found spots with good keeper fish and some we could not even hold. I was impressed that you could teach an old grouper digger like me new techniques which you personally developed and which worked better than the ones that I knew about and was accustomed to using. You were a competent and gentle teacher, and I know that our group left heavy with fish and with the knowledge that we had made a friend. |

Kevin puts up with my inexperience and seasickness with a smile. He has good equipment and excellent bait. We always catch fish, one trip we got a 400lb shark, a 17 lb grouper and a 13 lb in one day as well as numerous other fish! Kevin has a good boat, and top notch tackle. My only complaint is that I can't go enough! |

Captain Kevin is reliable and you can always count on catching fish. He is always willing to give instruction and assistance in a friendly manner to help improve your ability to catch fish. Kevin is interested in seeing that you enjoy yourself on his charters, he is able to catch a variety of species consistently. I feel you get an excellent value for the price of his charters. I would highly recommend Kevin's charter to anyone looking for some good fishing. |

I have been fishing the ocean since I was a boy and the Gulf of Mexico since 1982, I am now 80 years old, and I feel safe to heartily recommend Captain Kevin to anyone who wants to truly experience the joy of offshore fishing. We always catch big fish and good fish. The boat rides comfortable and safely, I feel extremely safe going fishing with Capt Kevin and know you will too. |

I cannot stress enough how much fun I had on Captain Kevin's charter, his ability to sniff out the fish on a day I thought would be poor fishing kept us busy all throughout the day with plenty of rod bending excitement. I highly recommend you try this charter to anyone! |

When you are ready to start catching fish and stop merely going on long boat rides, spend one day with Captain Kevin and see how great gulf fishing can be. If you are a beginner you will be learning from one of the best "teaching" captains in Florida. But if you are an experienced angler be prepared to toss out the old heavy tackle ideas and see how fun and productive fishing Kevin's method will be. Kevin is not satisfied to take you offshore and let you rely on luck. He takes the time to explain his methods fully and show you new ways to catch more and bigger fish. I spent my first 4 years trying many of the marina charter boats with very limited success, never once catching a legal limit of grouper. On my first trip with Kevin fishing the day after a full moon in 90 degree weather I caught a limit of large mangrove snapper. Being somewhat stubborn and having learned the wrong way to fish for grouper it took me a couple trips to give in to fish lighter tackle and not trying to yank the grouper half way to the surface when they bit. On my last 8 fishing trips, starting this past December, I have caught my limit of grouper every trip. This also includes a couple of double and a triple limit. Although releasing a legal grouper was not easy for me to do the first time, I now routinely toss back grouper up to 24 inches because I have full confidence that I will catch plenty of fish and can be selective in what I take home. So do yourself a favor and spend a day fishing with Kevin. You will see that he is not only a grouper and kingfish specialist but a great fishing teacher as well as one of if not the most conservation minded captain fishing these waters. |

Thanks you so much for the fishing trip. It was the trip that you dream of. We caught our limit of grouper and kept only what we wanted to eat, releasing the rest for someone else to enjoy catching. To top off a perfect day, as we were preparing to return to the marina something hit the last bait out. You were the only one aboard with the skill to battle whatever was hooked. After about 45 minutes of the most agressive battle with a fish that I have ever seen, a Goliath Grouper came to the surface. Everyone estimated it to be 250-300 pounds. It was much too big to get in the boat and you had to get in the water with it so you could release the hooks. We got some pictures of you releasing a fish much bigger than you, in 50 feet of water. The Goliath swam off happy to return where he came from. What a way to end the day. |
